Service
Sports Physiotherapy
Injury management and return-to-sport rehabilitation for recreational and competitive athletes.
What is sports physiotherapy?
Sports physiotherapy treats injuries from training and competition and gets you back to your sport at the level you were before. The approach is the same as general physiotherapy but with a specific focus on sport-specific demands, progressive loading, and return-to-play criteria.
What we treat
- Sprains, strains, and contact injuries
- Tendinopathies (Achilles, patellar, rotator cuff)
- Post-surgical rehabilitation (ACL reconstruction, meniscus, rotator cuff repair)
- Overuse injuries from running, cycling, racquet sports, climbing, and team sports
- Concussion-related musculoskeletal symptoms
- Performance-limiting movement restrictions
How a course of treatment works
Assessment covers the injury itself and the demands of your sport. Treatment combines manual therapy, progressive loading exercises, sport-specific drills, and clear return-to-play milestones so you know when each next stage is safe.
For post-surgical cases, we work with your surgeon’s protocol and the timelines they specify, then guide the progressive loading and re-introduction of sport-specific tasks toward full return.
Direct billing
We bill CNESST and SAAQ directly. Most private insurance plans accept our receipts for reimbursement.
Conditions we treat with this service
-
Sports Injuries
Acute and overuse injuries from training and competition. Assessment, treatment, and return-to-sport progression in one place.
-
Tendinitis
Pain and dysfunction at a tendon from repetitive loading. Often called tendinopathy, the modern term that better fits what's happening in the tissue.
-
Knee Pain
From runner's knee and patellar tendinopathy to meniscus and ligament injuries. Assessment first, then a plan that fits the cause.
-
Post-Surgical Rehabilitation
Structured recovery after orthopedic surgery. We work to your surgeon's protocol and bridge you from the operating room back to full activity.
