Deep Tissue Massage
Sustained pressure on stubborn knots and chronically tight muscle bands. For training recovery and pain that hasn't responded to lighter work.
What it is
Deep tissue massage uses slower strokes and sustained pressure to reach deeper muscle layers and the connective tissue around them. The goal is to release adhesions and trigger points that lighter work can’t reach.
When it helps
- Chronic muscle tightness in the neck, shoulders, back, or legs
- Recovery from heavy training or competition
- Long-held postural tension from desk work or carrying loads
- Muscle restrictions that lighter massage hasn’t resolved
What to expect
You’ll feel real pressure, sometimes uncomfortable, but it should not be sharp pain. The therapist will check in and adjust. Hydrate well afterward; some soreness for a day or two is normal as the muscle settles.
